Growing up, i lived in a house made of stone and broken tiles on the walls put together like puzzle pieces in between drift woods, clay jars all over the house that pours out to the garden, plants dangling from every corner and surrounding the whole house, my dad’s forest.
He sang to his plants, whistling a tune as he went around the garden. He made me see the beauty in nature, and how that beauty came to be with time, patience, and love. I remember his hands as he tended to his roses, rough on the edge but always handled the flowers in a gentle way, saying how much time and love was put in to growing them. Likewise as the garden caretaker, you have to put in the same amount of love, knowing that every petal and leaf, is time and all the love the caretaker has put in to grow it.
